Converts Sunlight into Thermal Energy Experiments

In this experiment named "Cube shrink".

You will prove how sunlight can be transformed into heat energy by using methods Melt Ice Cube in colorless solution.

To perform the experiment Converts Sunlight into Thermal Energy You need to prepare some of the following tools and materials:
  1. Two equally sized drinking glasses
  2. Brightly colored fizzy drinks
  3. Dark sodas
  4. A table near the window sunlit
  5. two ice cubes of the same size
  6. a dark room

Imagine, a picnic at a hot day. You pour coca-cola drinks containing soda into a glass.

Your friend fill a glass with orange flavored soda kesukaaannya. You're both taking a cube-shaped ice cubes. Ice cube which last longer?

Sunlight turns into heat energy. Objects dark absorbs more energy than the light-colored objects that light, so dark objects become hotter.

Does Coca-cola that absorb more sunlight and melt the ice cube more quickly?

Please do experiments Cube-Cube that contract the following:
Figure 1. Illustration Placement on Near Sunlight
  1. Take 2 pieces of glass of the same size, the contents of one of the light-colored sodas and other glasses with dark sodas.
  2. Fill each cup to drink the same amount, but not too full.
  3. Put the glasses on the window exposed to the sun for half an hour. Then, take two ice cubes of the same size and fill each cube ice into glasses earlier.
  4. Where the ice cubes that last longer? why?

In this project, an assumption is made. We assume (we "think") that kind of soda itself (with a sweet taste and particular) does not affect the melting cube-kubuses. To prove our conjecture is true, do the experiment again :
  1. This time, place both the glass in a dark room, not in a place exposed to the sun.
  2. If both these ice cube takes the same time to melt, then the soda beverages having an equivalent effect on the cubes of ice, and we conjecture is true.
  3. Try other drinks: orange juice, red sida drinks and so on.
  4. Try drinks containing soda and which does not contain soda, diet drinks (with sugar substitute sweetener), fruit drinks with high sugar content, drinks with or without solids (powders fruits / vegetables), and others.
Facto-factor drinks what else affects the speed of melting ice cubes? If indeed there is influence, how you amengetahui bus that?

Congratulations Being Young Researchers!
